What's up?

Hi Ladies!

Hope everyone had a good first 2 days of the week. I can't believe tomorrow is already Hump Day and the first day of February! January flew by. And honestly, I think it was so quick that winter couldn't keep up. It has been chilly in the AM and warm during the day (mid 60's -70's). And honestly, who wants to be stuck inside of a drab office staring at a computer, answering emails upon emails, and helping customers with issues? NOT THIS GIRL. I would much rather be out in cute Spring clothes enjoying the beauty of God's handiwork. I don't think there is anyone who would rather be in an office than outside.

Well, I am finally back on the mend. That silly allergic reaction is almost gone, and I have almost finished my round of steroids. This might sound crazy, but I think the Prednisone is doing wonders for my skin. Like, it looks so smooth and clear. I know taking them is bad for you in long periods of time, but dang! This girl's skin looks good. Oh well. I do wash twice a day and moisturize twice a day as well. Just got to work with it.

Brian was in town this weekend. We had a whirlwind of a weekend. I had to work until 6 on Friday. BOO! We had a gender reveal party for one of my best girlfriends. She is due June 10th. She is expecting a little boy who will be named Grady Hawk. Grady is a family name from her side, and Hawk is her husband's middle name. Her husband is a high school football coach as is her Daddy. I just know this baby is going to be an athlete. Her husband was on the OL in high school and college and is VERY tall. Both of her brother and Dad are very tall and played sports. I am very excited to be an aunt to him. I am ready for June to get here. They revealed to us by cutting a cake. The inside was blue or pink. And we are getting another little boy in our group. I would have loved to have a baby girl in our group but I will love these babies like they were my own and will be happy that my bff has a HEALTHY baby, no matter the gender.

Here are some pics from her party!

Proud Momma & Daddy to be!

Cute cake! And delish too!

We did dinner on Saturday night for my other girlfriend's 25th birthday. We went to Basil which is a Thai restaurant. SO GOOD. I love it. We ended the night roasting marshmellows and laughing over a bonfire!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a good start to their week!

xoxo,
H

Happy 2.5 Years!

Today marks Brian and I's two and a half year mark. I can't believe it. I couldn't picture myself with anyone else.

Let's face it. We all have our weird sides. And I am totally weird around him. I am not perfect, and he gets that. He is my best friend of ALL time. :)

Brian:
I love you to the moon and back infinity times over again. I am so excited to see what the near future has in store. I am glad that you "get" me. Thank you for a wonderful 2.5 years so far. I know we have many more years to go.

xoxo,
Haley

I've been cursed...

Seriously.

Here's the time line...

1. Threw my back out/pulled a muscle a week before Christmas.

2. Got several fever blisters a little over a week ago that made me feel like tee total crap for a week.

3. A cold this week -- itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, stuffed nose, etc.

4. And to top it all off, my arms and legs are covered in a red bumpy rash as of Monday night. Thank goodness it's winter and I can wear long sleeves/pants to cover up my skin. I look like a mild leper. Ew.

CAN A GIRL CATCH A BREAK?!

If this rash isn't gone by Friday, I'm going to le doctor. I can't afford to scratch my skin off.

Happy Hump Day y'all!!

Welcome to the Space Jam...

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I know I did.

Friday night I drove to G-Vegas to spend the weekend with Brian. We had a date night in on Friday night. He ordered pizza, and we drank wine and watched Hangover II... for all of 20 minutes because I fell asleep. Oops!

On Saturday, we slept in and went to Cracker Barrel for brunch. I hadn't been to a Cracker Barrel in I don't know how long. We had to wait a little bit, but it was delicious. We went to the mall afterwards. Brian was such a trooper. I think I drug him into every single store, literally. I was looking for a cute top to wear out that night and found nothing. I think it's because it's kind of in between seasons.

That night another couple came over and we had cocktails and then headed out to dinner, a hockey game, and going out downtown for a little bit. We had such a blast. Tommy and Kristin are SO much fun. They are very outgoing and are always down for anything. We are actually planning a mountain weekend with them and one other couple for the end of February. I am SO looking forward to this trip.

We made it home late, and Brian and I made the executive decision to make a Waffle House run. Oh. My. Word. Is there anything better at 2AM? I don't ever make it out that late, but you have to pull out all the stops when you do right? People might think I'm crazy, but I LOVE Waffle House. They have THE best hash browns and waffles, duh. I'm crazy; I know.

Earlier that day, Brian and I were talking about weddings and first dances. I asked him what would be a song he would like to dance to. Keep in mind, Brian is a HUGE basketball fan and is a jokester. He told me he wanted to dance to the theme song from Space Jam. If y'all don't know the song, it's by Quad City DJ's.

So this entire weekend, he has been singing this song. Needless to say, I have been singing it in my head the entire weekend too. Thank you Brian for getting it stuck there. God love 'em.

This morning we definitely slept in. We went to brunch at The Velo Fellow in the West End of downtown Greenville. It was awesome. I could have eaten there tonight if I didn't have to come back to CHS. Oh well. If y'all are ever in Greenville, check it out. The inside is very eclectic. All the tables and chairs are different and aged. Love it. I had the Oscar sandwich. Brian had the eggs benedict...they tasted awesome.

I unfortunately had to drive back to CHS today. Don't get me wrong. CHS is WONDERFUL. But when you are 3.5 hrs away from your significant other, it is not a fun drive to make alone. It is very hard leaving him every time. It actually gets harder and harder each time. I am being patient though. I know there is a plan for everything. And I just have to remember it's not my plan...

I hope y'all have a wonderful week.
xoxo,
H

Randoms...

1. I slept 10.5 hours last night. Fever blisters make me feel blah!

2. I'm obsessed with my Victoria's Secret pajamas. I've got 2 pair (1 pair from last Christmas, 1 pair from this Christmas)
Currently rocking:
(except totally not as sexy)

3. I stressed myself out + these horrible fluctuations in weather (70 one day and 50 the next) have caused me some sweet fever blisters. UGH!

4. I only watch 2 channels these days: Bravo + E!

5. I am living for the weekends... like daily.

6. I worked out 5 days last week. This week I am 0 for workouts this week. Oops!

7. I am ready for spring time! Where are you 75 degrees?

8. Does anyone pluck their eyebrows as much as I do? I feel like it's every other day. Legit.

9. I saw War Horse over the NYE weekend. Not only did I cry, but the beau confessed he teared up too. Mark that down in the history books! Awesome movie, btw.

10. My nails are currently NOT painted, and my toenails look like I half dipped them in fingernail polish remover. Honestly, I can't make myself pay for a pedicure in the winter when nobody sees my toes. I just need to quit being lazy and redo them myself.

Happy Tuesday, y'all!
xoxo

Decisions. Decisions.

Please pray for Brian and I as we make some big decisions in the next coming weeks. It has not been easy thus far and has been quite trying. I will reveal to you all once we make our decision and are comfortable with it. Everything is fine but just decisions that need to be made.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight."
-Proverbs 3:5-6

This is how I feel...

I have worked out 4 days this week and am planning one more day either tomorrow or Saturday with the beau. This girl is WORN OUT. I am bound and determined to lose a few elle bees.

A girl can dream, right?

Classic...

Good Lord, I love this laundry room. I can't guarantee mine would look this tidy, but I wouldn't say no to it.

Hello natural light! Gorg.

Yes please...

Who doesn't want a gorgeous white Victorian + oaks?!

My girls + Pinot Grigio = this space.

Entryway much? LOVE IT.
